Carolyn Jones was born and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After receiving a BA degree in history from Colorado State University, She worked for ten years in museum exhibit development in Colorado and Idaho. With a lifetime of experience and interest in the arts as well as a love of dolls, Carolyn taught herself to make porcelain dolls. A perfectionist who strives for realism in every detail, she does not see her dolls as dolls but as works of art.

Carolyn has shown and sold her dolls at doll and art shows throughout the United States. In addition, she markets them through galleries, doll and gift shops They have also been featured in several doll magazines. Carolyn's first originally sculpted doll, made its debut in the summer of 1997. Today, in addition to one-of-a-kind and limited edition dolls for collectors, she specializes in sculpting original portrait dolls or busts for moms, grandmothers and others who want to honor a child or adult in a very special way.

In 2005 Carolyn expanded her artistic efforts to include photography. She began by posing and photographing her dolls to produce prints suitable for framing. She quickly expanded her subject matter to include flowers, scenery and, her special love, domestic cats. She brings the same dedication to perfection to her photographs that she always brings to her dolls.
